Stroll from Elms Inn's front porch just a couple of blocks to Camden's picturesque harbor, lined with fine restaurants, shops and home port for many of Maine's Windjammers. Or, walk to the trailhead and hike to the top of Mount Battie for a magnificent view of Penobscott Bay. Bicycle through the rolling countryside, along side crystal clear lakes where you can canoe the quiet waters, fish and swim. In the wintertime, cross country and downhill are just minutes away.

Every season is special in Camden. Summer and autumn are the most popular times of year, when the weather is perfect for a daysail on Penobscot Bay, a hike up Mount Battie, an island kayaking excursion, or a swim in lovely Lake Megunticook.

We especially enjoy the quietness of winter and spring . The pace is slower but most of the village's restaurants and shops are open and ready to serve you. Skiing - both downhill and cross-country - are right here in town, as are great places to skate, hike, take in a museum, and antique ... or try the thrilling toboggan chute at the Camden Snowbowl.
